Dite cheeeese!

Ebbene si, nonostante le apparenze il mio cibo preferito non sono i dolci, ma il formaggio! Lo adoro in tutte le sue forme, il mio preferito in assoluto è la fontina valdaostana (per non parlare della fonduta) e vi dirò di più: più "puzza", più mi piace! Chiacchiere a parte, ecco a voi una ricca selezione dei miei formaggi preferiti, che troverete a Miniaturitalia. Ho realizzato a mano anche il tagliere ovale, per la sua forma mi sono ispirata all'incantevole lavoro di Petitplat.

SAY CHEESE!
Oh yes, it may sound strange but cakes & sweet are not my favorite food, cheese is my favorite food! I love cheese in all its versions, my favorite one is fontina valdostana (and I so love fondue!) and the more it smells the more I like it!
Here is a wide selection of my favorite kind of cheese, you’ll find them all at Miniaturitalia. The oval chopping board is handmade, I’ve been inspired by Petitplat’s lovely work to make this particular shape.

Solo un breve post per mostrarvi i miei progressi...questo tavolo rosa mi piace tanto!
I lavori per Miniaturitalia procedono un po' a rilento, ho tantissime cose da terminare e da fotografare, ma ne frattempo ho sfornato un'altra valanga di pane!

Just a little post to show you my progresses...I love this pink table so much!
I’m still working on my Miniaturitalia’s projects, things are going a little bit slower, I still have many things to finish and then I have to take all the pictures, but in the meanwhile I’ve baked a lot of bread!

Pane, amore e miniature

In questi giorni sto lavorando tantissimo in vista di Miniaturitalia e ho deciso di dedicarmi in modo paricolare al pane.
Il pane è un soggetto davvero interessante da realizzare, forse il mio preferito: le forme sono sempici, ma il colore gioca un ruolo fondamentale e qualunque dettaglio o sfumatura può determinare la risucita dell'intero lavoro. Insomma...io lo adoro!
Quando inizio a lavorare su qualcosa che mi appassiona non riesco a darmi un limite...ho creato così centinaia di panini, sfilatini e pagnotte, disposti su taglieri, cestini, tavoli. Anche i taglieri e i coltelli sono realizzati a mano da me, e ne sono particolarmente orgogliosa :)

BREAD, LOVE AND MINIATURES
In the last days I’ve been working really hard for Miniaturitalia and I’ve been concentrating particularly on bread.
Bread is such an amazing subject to realize, maybe it’s my favourite one: the shapes are easy but the color can really make the difference: all the details and all the shades can determine the good result of the entire work...I absolutely adore it!
As soon as I start working on something that I’m really keen on, I can hardly have any limit…I’ve made hundreds of breads, loafs and baguettes, on chopping boards, baskets, tables. The chopping boards and the cutlery are entirely handmade, and I’m really proud of it :)

Piccole grandi novità ♥

Torno a scrivere in questo blog in occasione di un evento davvero importante per me: tra poco più di un mese, l'11 e il 12 Febbraio 2012, sarò ospite dell'Ottava Fiera Italiana della Miniatura, MINIATURITALIA! La fiera si svolgerà a Milano, presso l'Hotel Michelangelo e avrà come ospiti miniaturisti del calibro di Angie Scarr *_*
Sarà la mia prima fiera come miniaturista, sono al tempo stesso eccitatissima e impauritissima, tanto che la notte mi ritrovo a sognare miniature! In questi giorni ho iniziato a lavorare su tantissimi nuovi soggetti in scala 1:12 e spero di riuscire a mostrarveli presto. Alla fiera comunque non porterò solo miniature, ma anche bijoux, quindi vi aspetto numerose! Con affetto,

LITTLE BIG NEWS ♥
Back on the blog to let you know about a very important event: in less than a month I’ll be at the 8th Italian fair of miniatures, MINIATURITALIA (FEB. 11/12)!
The fair is in Milan, at Michelangelo hotel, there will be many great miniaturists, great artists like Angie Scarr *_*
This is going to be my first fair as a miniaturist ever…I’m really excited but really scared as well, so scared that I keep dreaming miniatures at night!
I’ve started working on many new subjects in 1:12 scale…I hope I’ll be able to show them to all of you really soon. At the fair I won’t bring only miniatures, but jewels as well, so...I’ll be waiting for you all!

ROMANTIC BOXES COLLECTION

Oggi vi presento la mia prima collezione di scatole!
Ogni scatola è dipinta e decorata a mano e misura circa 9x5,5 cm, la dimensione adatta a contenere piccoli bijoux, bottoni o quello che preferite: io ne utilizzerò una per tenere le bustine del mio té preferito.
Ne ho realizzate in tutto 9, e saranno disponibili in esclusiva al Mercatino Giapponese c/o Black Out Rock Club di Roma il 12 Giugno.

Today I’m going to show you my first box collection!
Each box is hand painted and 100% handmade, it’s approx 9x5.5 cm: perfect size to store little jewels, buttons or whatever you like – I’m going to use it to store my favorite teabags.
I’ve made 9 boxes, they’ll be available exclusively on the 12th of june 2011, at Mercatino Giapponese (Japanese Market) @ Black Out Rock Club, Rome.

ROMANTIC TRAYS COLLECTION

Ecco a voi una nuova collezione di romantici vassoi dai toni pastello e il profumo country!
Sono realizzati tutti in scala 1:12 e curati nei minimi particolari.
Dopo aver visto i migliori miniaturisti cimentarsi in questo genere di lavoro ho voluto mettermi alla prova anch'io e sono molto felice del risultato raggiunto, soprattutto perchè queste sono le mie prime miniature in scala!

I due vassoi più grandi sono pezzi unici non replicabili e misurano 5x3,5 cm circa

I vassoi piccoli misurano 3.5x 2 cm circa

Here’s my new collection: pastel colored trays with a romantic and country style twist!
They are all realized in 1:12 scale, a really painstaking job!
After seeing all the best miniaturists doing things like these I wanted to test myself and I’m actually really happy with the result, also because these are my first in scale creations ever!
The bigger trays are two OOAK creations, they are not repeatable and measure 5x3,5 cm approx.
Medium trays measure 4.5x3 cm approx.
Smaller trays measure 3.5x 2 cm approx.
